The first thing you should know about me is that I dread these kinds of things. I LIVE in the gray area of life, and am terrible at keeping things brief so having to define myself in a few short words is not my forté.
I'll start off with the easy stuff. I love art and being creative. I'm a fiancèe, and a cat mom. I hope to be lucky enough to be a "real" mom some day too. I'm into fitness (mostly strength training and yoga), mindfulness, food (both eating and cooking), travel and music. I'm a goofball and a free spirit but take my work very seriously.
Honesty, integrity, authenticity and genuine connection are the driving forces behind everything I do.
When it comes to photography I specialized in weddings for over a decade. I hear many wonderful photographers clinging to a specialty, but in my opinion to be a really great wedding photographer you have to excel at many different types of photography: candids, posed portraits, even lifestyle and product. Each couple I encountered was so different that I wanted to make sure each one got the exact blend of what seemed to speak to them the most, so I've become a bit of a Jill of all trades when it comes to photography. My specialty is variety and knowing what each situation calls for.
I also seem to have a "problem" of creating many lifelong friends from my former clients and they usually want to hire me for all their photographic needs once the wedding day is over, so from boudoir to babies, real estate, family, professional headshots and branding photography I have experience in it all. I'm by no means a master of any of them, but since I pour 110% of myself into whatever I do, I'm far more than proficient in each.
That being said portraits are what inspire me the most. I genuinely love to get to know people and connect with them on a deeper level. I am endlessly curious about people and what makes them tick and
I love creating a space where clients can drop their ego if only for a moment, and reveal their real and deeper selves, because to me that is truly the most beautiful thing there is.
