Bill & Gen's excellent Asheville Adventure

Bill treated us to an amazing get away in Asheville, North Carolina, and I decided it would be a great time to take a few purty travel photos. We trekked north for a beautiful hike through part of Gorges State Park to view Rainbow Falls, and access nearby Turtleback Falls (a natural water slide/swimming hole!!) in PIsgah National Forest. We climbed 167 floors (according to my Fitbit) to catch an amazing view of the Blue Ridge mountains from Looking Glass Rock. We sampled amazing local breweries and had delicious meals and even artisan chocolate truffles to balance out all of that walking. We saw epic firefly shows overlooking the valley right from the back porch of our VRBO rental. We even had a temporary dog named Maggie Mae there!

It was an amazing whirlwind adventure and Asheville has absolutely stolen our hearts, and I was having so much fun in the actual town of Asheville that I didn't even think to capture the amazing beauty that the city had...yet!! I know I'll be back, but until then here are just a small sampling of the views to be had near Asheville.
